Summer Bummer

So I had all these plans to blog over summer break and it just did not happen. However, I am turning over a new leaf and plan on blogging at least once a week. Coming soon: my office decorations, summer vacation pictures, book reviews, and much more. I am really excited to do the book reviews because I read several books this summer from different genres and for different ages and groups. I am also looking into starting a book club and hope to blog about that fun journey. Check back soon for all that is new with me and my daily happenings!

Thirty-One Gifts

As I mentioned in my profile, I sell Thirty-One Gifts. We are encouraged to share our "WHY" story. My "why" continues to change as my life continues to change. I first became a consultant in July of 2011. However, I had known about 31 since September 2010 when a teacher at my school began selling. I had two parties with her between then and when I signed up and bought most of my Christmas gifts in 2010 from 31. In June of 2011 I realized that with the economy and my changing lifestyle I needed to find a part-time job or something to add some extra money to my budget. I began to explore my options and realized that 31 would be the perfect fit for me. It was a flexible schedule, I could manage my own time, and the initial invest of $99 was not overwhelming. Also, I love 31 products! I have always been into bags, purses, and organizers so it was something that I could easily sell because I use the products myself everyday. It has been a great choice for me and has helped me pay bills and take some fabulous vacations. Another reason I love 31 is because of its' mission to help women succeed. Thirty-one's founder Cindy Monroe actually named the company after Proverbs 31. My personal website for 31 is: mythirtyone.com/kuntzj. Check it out and if you want to place an order, book a party, or are interested in selling 31 yourself feel free to contact me.

Proverbs 31: 10-31

I mentioned in my profile that I am trying to live my life as a Virtuous Woman as defined in Proverbs 31: verses 10-31. For those of you not familiar I thought I would share the verses from the NIV.
Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character
10 [b]A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still night;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
